Wayne O. Carter, DVM, PhD, DACVIM

Prior to joining BioNexus KC, Wayne was the Vice President of Global Research at Hill’s Pet Nutrition in Topeka, Kansas where he led nutrigenomics research for new product discoveries and commercialization. Prior to joining Hill’s, Wayne worked for Pfizer Human Health in Groton, CT for 11 years and was an Executive Director of Global Clinical Technology. In that role, he led the company’s North American clinical research responsible for the development, validation and implementation of new clinical technologies to accelerate development decisions for human pharmaceuticals.
Wayne attended Purdue University, earning his B.S. degree in 1980, D.V.M. in 1984, and Ph.D. in 1994. Dr. Carter became board certified in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1992.
Wayne serves on several advisory boards and is Vice Chairman of BioKansas, a non-profit organization to promote bioscience development in Kansas, and Chairman of the Center for Animal Health Innovation in Olathe, KS.
